ABOUT US
A Second Chance Story: Our Mission, Our Heart
The Cruikshank Redemption is a story of second acts, wild hearts, and the kind of beauty you don't find in box stores. Founded in 2025 by costume designer and End-of-Life Doula Candace Cruikshank, alongside her daughter Ginger Taylor, this family-run shop is equal parts rebellion and refuge. Long ago, Candace ran a charming clothing and shoe boutique on the Sunshine Coast-until life pulled her elsewhere, into film sets and final chapters. But the itch to create another shop, to gather, to build something meaningful never left. So she came back to her roots in retail-this time with Ginger as an adult by her side, not a toddler on her hip-to do it differently.
Serving the Fraser Valley, they have created a space that mirrors the people around them; eclectic, expressive, a little rough around the edges, and full of heart. Every shelf tells a story-local artisans, Canadian makers, ethically sourced goods, and pieces chosen with intention: to heal, to comfort, to spark something real. And yes, they have a soft spot for the cheeky, the bold, the slightly inappropriate-because joy should never be too polished.
This isn't just a shop. It's a lived-in, lit-up, and slightly rebellious love letter to community. Our purpose is creativity, the love of reinvention, the art of living well and doing things your own damn way.
